Forward Africa, under the coalition of Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA), in partnership with the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education (NCAOOSCE), has successfully conducted an identification exercise to mop out out-of-school children in Imo State.
This vital effort marks a significant step in the journey toward ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to access quality education.
Why this matters: Millions of Nigerian children remain out of school—vulnerable to poverty, abuse, and social exclusion. Identifying them is the first and most crucial step toward addressing this national challenge.
Now that we know who and where they are, it's time to act.
Forward Africa is committed to working hand in hand with donor partners, communities, and government stakeholders to reintegrate these children into schools and provide them with the support they need to stay in.
We are calling on donors, development agencies, and well-meaning individuals to join us in transforming these numbers into lives changed and dreams revived. Let’s give every child the future they deserve.
