Climate resilience begins with local action!
In a bold step toward climate resilience, Forward Africa, through the Oguta Sustainable Climate Change Education Stakeholders Forum, paid an advocacy and sensitization visit to Hon. Ifeanyi Nnani, Chairman of Oguta LGA.
We briefed him on our Climate Change Education and Flood Awareness Project—an initiative aimed at empowering riverine communities in Imo State to mitigate the effects of flooding through grassroots education and proactive community action.
In response, the
Chairman pledged full support, promising to work closely with the Forum and immediately visit the Oguta IDP Centre to assess its condition and commence urgent interventions.
Hon. Nnani didn’t just listen—he promised immediate intervention, starting with a visit to the Oguta IDP Centre to assess infrastructure and initiate needed support.
